Middle9 is a band formed by the current four members in Osaka, Japan in 2003. Their first album that contains 9 tracks “SEA THAT HAS BECOME KNOWN” will be released on September 26, 2008. It has been about 2 and half years since the last mini album that contains 5 tracks, “Swing and Circle on the Fluyt” (April 26 2006 / CATUNE). Their style might seem to be moderate at first since the members play Vibraphone and ES-335. However, the stages actually have a reputation for a powerful groove and totally active performances that lift audiences at one burst. This instrumental band has not only the dynamism of live music but also high creativity for the sensitive sound as you can see in their works. Adding a trumpeter as a support member, their new album contains some party tunes which interweave funk and jazz. These tracks are built by their great sound sense and give a stylish mode to the first full album. The CD will be out on their private label“LYON". The members themselves did artwork as well as recording and mixing on that self-direction label. The mastering engineer is SAEmastering / Roger Seibel who worked on TORTOISE, HIM, SUNRA and also the previous album of Middle9.

Engine7 is Alan McNeill: songwriter, musician, and producer.
Alan makes emotional, organic music influenced by everything that makes him feel human, good or bad. The sounds swell like nature, brutal and beautiful, treading the line between paranoia and peace. On CD, Engine7 has been described as a "dark and gritty style of organic electronica", "encompassing shoegaze, ambient and downtempo" and "a triumph for organic instrumentation and digital innovation".
Originally formed as a one-man project by Glasgow-based McNeill, Engine7 now comprises 6 members with vocalists, a bass player, a percussionist and a live video artist accompanying him on stage.

Born in 1978, Jens Berents Christiansen is the man behind Rumpistol. He likes to work in the crossfield between melody based pop music and experimental sounds, but always maintains his characteristic warm sound. With great influences from dub he delivers an interesting take on electronica, click-hop and downbeat. Rumpistol’s self-titled debut album was released in 2003 on Rump Recordings, and he has played many concerts in Denmark and abroad since then. Festivals like Fusion, Norberg, Ekko, ADE, and Public Service should be mentioned as well as different concerts at as different places as Mexico and the Baltic countries. Furthermore, he has done remixes and appeared on a split-EP released by the small Danish label, Auditory Designs, as well as on different compilations. As a musician, Jens Berents Christiansen has a background in the band Magtværk, where he played guitar, synths, and sang, but since he left the band in the year 2000, he has been concentrating on the Rumpistol project.

The sounds of Goddamn Electric Bill were never meant to leave Jason Torbert’s bedroom. But the one-man band, a propulsive blend of ambient electronic and post-rock music, made its way out to the world anyway.
In its short lifetime, Goddamn Electric Bill has already been nominated for a San Diego Music Award, created a stir in the MySpace musical community, released a debut full-length called Swallowed by the Machines on 99X/10 Records (run by former Cure keysman Roger O’Donnell) and been featured in San Diego CityBEAT and Music Matters Magazine. But Torbert isn’t new to the musical arena.
Torbert’s suburban childhood was spent learning violin and trombone before he took off for University of Oregon, where he studied ethnomusicology. It was at University of Oregon that Torbert began his seven-year stint as the bassist for a popular punk outfit called Cigar. The band eventually signed to a label run by Pennywise guitarist Fletcher Dragge and toured internationally before calling it quits. He tried his luck at a few other projects, including one band that recorded with At The Drive-In/Sparta drummer Tony Hajjar and signed to Sparta frontman Jim Ward’s label, Restart Records, but Torbert quickly figured out that the band life wasn’t for him.
It was the sounds Torbert made on his own – from bass, guitar, keys, Rhodes, sitar, mbira, percussion and bagpipes – that turned into Goddamn Electric Bill. And it is those sounds that Slug Magazine called “jaw-dropping cinematic tracks” and Rip It Up Magazine called “uplifting in both mood and subtlety.” And it is those sounds that continue to cause a stir.
